A low starting price answers a narrow question: what does the company advertise at the beginning? A useful budget asks what happens after enrollment, after prescribing and after the introductory period ends. Looking across three months makes some of those transitions visible without assuming you will continue treatment indefinitely.
The examples below use public offers checked October 5, 2026. They are arithmetic illustrations, not personalized treatment quotes. No prescription, insurance decision, laboratory order or checkout was completed. Separate confirmed amounts from amounts that still depend on the care proposed for you.
Give each charge its own line
Start with care access, then appointments, then medication, then tests and supplies. Add the payment dates beside those categories. If a company says a category is included, record where it says so and which plan the statement covers. If the cost is unknown, write “awaiting quote” instead of zero. An empty number can make an incomplete offer look cheaper than a complete one.
Hers currently advertises a $39 first membership month followed by $149 monthly. On that monthly sequence, three membership charges total $337. Medication is additional. That calculation says nothing about the cost of a prescribed product or an upfront medication plan. Read the Hers profile before interpreting the medicine price displayed beside the membership offer.
Account for appointments as well as access
PlushCare lists a monthly membership of $19.99 after its trial and a $129 uninsured initial visit. Medication and laboratory charges are excluded. Do not simply multiply the initial visit price by three: your actual visit schedule and later appointment pricing need confirmation. Nor should you assume a membership payment buys every consultation. The PlushCare review separates these components.
Mochi's checked page advertises $79 monthly membership with a first-month promotion for eligible new subscribers. Medication and diagnostic services are outside that subscription. Its advertised starting medication prices are not a completed three-month prescription plan. Product selection, state availability and the clinical decision still matter. Put the promotion conditions next to the savings you expect.
Compare equal periods without inventing equal products
Henry's published injectable semaglutide program terms list $297 monthly. Three monthly charges would total $891 if those terms apply throughout the period. The arithmetic does not establish eligibility, dispensing quantity or equivalence to a branded medicine. Compounded and FDA-approved products remain different categories, even when their bills can be arranged into the same table.
A longer prepaid plan presents another problem. You may receive a lower monthly equivalent while committing more money than your three-month window contains. Show the entire amount due separately from the portion you allocate to the quarter. Otherwise the worksheet hides the cash you must actually provide.
Add a second scenario before choosing
Make another column for coverage denied, a promotion unavailable or a care plan changed. Do not assume refunds in that column; use the actual cancellation terms. Then bring unresolved medication costs and clinical questions to the appropriate provider. A budget can reveal uncertainty without resolving medical suitability.
Our billing fine-print guide explains renewal and prepayment, while the expanded provider comparison shows the available service models. Choose which offers deserve a closer look only after the categories and time periods line up.
